History of Mudgereeba

 

We are not quite sure where the name derives from but could be 1 of 2 meanings. It may mean “Low lying ground” or a place of infants excrement or sticky soil.

The township of Mudgereeba shows us a reminder of what rural hinterland on the Gold Coast was like. You can see one of the original farmhouses the Schmidt Farmouse in Worongary
